Liathach, Torridon
Tom and myself this week headed to the NW for a change of scene from the Cairngorms in the back garden. It was a stunning day but the grade 2 three star northern pinnacle route we were heading to do was covered in unconsolidated snow and beneath this snow was loose rock piles and not much gear. Would be great with neve, push with this snow. But the scenery and position were excellent and we got some good early season exercise, especially the 6km walk back to the car on the tarmac!
