Living for the weekend

Here is a film from Kendal (possibly 1998 or 1999) Living for the Weekend. I held a camera for the first time for 5-10 minutes under the instruction of Director, filmmaker, cameraman, editor, Nick Tarmey in the Alps. Nick was a master in film making and this film was written about more after Kendal that year than any other. If there had been a peoples choice award at the time it would have won. I think it inspired the award to be created. Nick would have been our modern day Leo Dickinson if he had continued on his filmmaking.  He made three films in total during GUMC years.

The film features some still hugely active walkers, climbers and respected outdoor professionals. They had the real survival of the fittest apprenticeship. Not a highly recommended apprenticeship but if you don’t know anything else it is what you do to learn.

Check out the just giving page at the end and enjoy.
